Tech. Sharing | How many years is the life span of intraocular lens

Intraocular lens implantation into the eye is lifelong and does not need to be replaced. In clinical practice, only a few patients will have rejection of intraocular lens. The vast majority of patients are very tolerant of intraocular lens, which can be used for life and do not need to be replaced again. There is a disease called posterior cataract, which is that during the operation, because we retain a layer of posterior capsule, this layer of posterior capsule may become turbid again. It is called posterior cataract. It is not terrible to have posterior cataract. It is good to break the turbid posterior capsule with a laser on the path of vision. The intraocular lens can still be retained in the eye without any replacement.
